Destiny is calling and it says…SON arise....
What is my destiny?
A question so many might ask. It’s the easiest of answers because its already answered for us. We might try more difficult questions to pass the time. We are destined to be sons. In fact it is already a done deal. We have to come into the realization of this.
Eph 1:5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,
Look at the meaning of this wonderful word.
Predestined = pro-orizo = to limit, to mark out or bound (“horizon”), that is, (figuratively) to appoint, decree, specify: - declare, determine, limit, ordain. in advance
Limted in advance to be sons. This is what I call diesel machine mode.
Some might be familier with diesel machines that are often limited so it does not perform outside of a set parameter. We are limited in like fashion. You must perform within this parameter called “son’ Anything outside is underachievement.
And all this was done before the world was formed. Phew! Heavy stuff hey?
Rom 8:28-30
And we know that all things work together for good to those who:
1. love God,
2. who are the called according to His purpose.
29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
See that’s His purpose for creating you and I. That’s why we are here.
Wanna see what the extend to this limitation is. You want to know what your operating ceiling is? Then read this and shout for joy! Ok if your not the shouting type just “smile and wave”
Eph 4:13 [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ's own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.
30 Moreover whom He predestined, these…
He also called; whom He called, these…
He also justified; and whom He justified, these…
He also glorified.
Pretty neat hey. Not only were you destined for this, but you were called. And in case you think of yourself too little He justified you. And in case you think you carry too little weight… He glorified you. The word glory is translated as weightiness, authority, dignity, splendor, magnificence, honor and wealth, to mention but a few.
This is IN Him
You don’t feel that cool hey? See its not in you its in Him. You have to trust that you are in Him and this becomes your part.
Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: nothing less than the standard height of Christ's own perfection
You can be like Him for you are “In” Him and like Him
1Jn 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
These words from Eph. 4 keeps coming back; “nothing less than the standard height of Christ's own perfection”
This part may now make a lot of sense to you
2 Cor 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” There is that sentence coming back; “nothing less than the standard height of Christ's own perfection”
Is it you? Heck NOOO its Him!
Col 3:3 - “For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.”
WHY IS THIS NOT TANGIBLE?
Blindness
2 Cor 4:3-4 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
Who caused this blindness? The god of this age. Who or what is this god? The god of this age is referenced in Rom 12
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
The god of this age is the carnal worldly mind. This reference is qualified in Col 1
Col 1:
21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled
22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight.
Alienated in my mind! Yep in YOUR mind.
Eph 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
See! Alianated in my mind
Prov 23:7 For as he thinks within himself, so he is.
Receive?
If you can take this, yo will have it. If you can receive this it will become yours. Its already ingrafted in you. Note the past tense.
1Pe 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
Jas 1:21 receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
If we receive and take this. If we cast our eyes unto this we will slowly see the change happen inside of this. Slowly we will begin to take the predestinated form. Realising Christ is already inside of us.
2 Co 3:18 But we all, with open (unveiled) face beholding as in a glass(see reflected) the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from (Our) glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. –
Col 1:27 To whom God was pleased to make known how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ within and among you, the Hope of [realizing the] glory.
Now set your mind. The original meaning of this word is to train your mind. Tell yourself it is so and do it regularly
Col 3:1-4 IF THEN you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. [Ps 110:1.]
2 And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.
3 For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, Who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in [the splendor of His] glory. AMP
Now the invitation. Arise and shine little miss sunshine for your light has come a long time ago already. You have only come to believe it now.
Isa 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and the glory shall be seen upon thee.
3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
Stay Blessed,
